Kites are Fun

There's a great song from the seventies called Kites are Fun. If you haven't had the pleasure, I highly recommend. These giant beauties were flying on an almost empty Hampton Beach, NH in late February on Leap Day. The offseason late winter months are the perfect time to enjoy the soon to be crowded fun meccas of Hampton and Salisbury Beach. And while it looks empty, there were plenty of dog walkers, parents with children and shovels, and people taking it all in like my husband and myself. Enjoy!

Carnival of Souls anyone? There's something about the deserted arcades and this animatronic puppet display that conjures up the eeriness of a classic horror movie. Of course we put in the quarters to bring the creepy puppets to life.
